It is the process of creating something new with value by devoting the necessary time and effort, assuming the accompanying financial, psychic, social risks, and receiving the resulting rewards of monetary, personal satisfaction and independence.

Anyone can start a business. The problem, however, is that many people don’t know what’s involved, don’t know the risks and don’t have the skills to start and successfully operate a business. Small business is a major driver and contributor to the economy. Entrepreneurship is a tool that provides people who want to be entrepreneurs to start and grow their own business, with the knowledge and skills to research, create, and manage it. Here where the NIRA, collaborated with Institute of Industrial Development (IID), prepare prospective Entrepreneurs through its well designed Entrepreneurship Development Programme online e-training programme to not only understand what is entrepreneurship but also make aware of the risk involved, help out with the marketing aids, make them aware of the basic registrations & other requirements, help them to have in-depth knowledge about government schemes and subsidies.

Program Outline

The contents for EDP training are drafted for the purpose to develop various managerial and operational functions skills within the candidates like business planning, operations, finance, production, marketing, branding, enterprise management, banking formalities, IT & online business, bookkeeping, statutory compliances, government schemes, risk & sustainability of business. The contents are in following format:

  • VIDEO LECTURES: Both in Hindi and English to understand various topics.
  • STUDY CONTENT IN PDF FORMAT: Both in Hindi and English to study the topics.
  • ASSESSMENT: Both in Hindi and English (Multiple Choice Questions).

Ans. EDP Training is a tool that provides people who want to be entrepreneurs the knowledge and skills to research, create, and manage their own business.

Ans. There are 22 modules in our Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP). All these modules have to be completed by a trainee.

Ans. If it is not completed within the stipulated time frame, the candidate has to register again with our portal and start afresh.

Ans. The trainee gets the following support in addition to EDP course materials (videos and PPTs):

  • Industrial Documentaries
  • Experts Episodes for Guidance
  • Project Reports
  • Government and Bank Schemes

Ans. The EDP trainees will log in using their User ID (Mobile Number). It is compulsory to watch each module attentively, or the system will log you out for inactivity.

Ans. Each question is compulsory and has a 60-second time limit. You can only attempt assessments after the mandatory module watch time. Max two assessments allowed per day. If internet is unstable, you may download study materials for offline use.

Ans. After logging in, each candidate will be provided a dashboard to view training progress, assessment status, profile updates, and certificate download.

Ans. Upon completing all modules, grades will be awarded along with a Letter of Appreciation:

  • Grade A++ – More than 90%
  • Grade A+ – 75% to 90%
  • Grade A – 50% to 75%
  • Grade B – Less than 50%
  • Note: Grading is for self-assessment only.
